"You need to be content with small steps. That's all life is. Small steps that you take everyday so that when you look back down road it all adds up and you know you covered some distance."
My hope is that as you make small changes you will know the Huge impact you are making in your home and to the preservation of your health and our earth. Maybe you are a Novice at this whole Green cleaning journey. Feeling stunned by what you’ve learned about various cleaning supplies and other common household hazards? Or you could be far into your journey of learning and changing and eliminating? Wherever you are in this journey, know that you are creating a better life for yourself and those you love. Sharing what you learn is the best way to help others realize that there is alternatives too.
My most common ah-ha moment in this business is when I talk about the dangers of fabric softener and fabric sheets in my demos. Many of us have never heard how toxic they are and commonly the smell of fabric softener is a comforting scent. Often full of associations with clean, fresh laundry and even memories of childhood and your home life. This is because scent is connected to our heart and brings memories rushing back. Though those memories prevail the toxins in these items cause so many neurological problems and many other health issues. You can do a quick google search and find article after article of the ingredients and how they affect us. I’ll link some good ones too.
What I have loved on my journey and in educated others through the avenue of Norwex is the open mindedness to want to change and understand why. Being a life long learner is one of the most beautiful traits I think a person can have (that’s a whole other post). Today I wanted to point you to a resource to help the experienced or newbie to removing the toxic load in your home.
Norwex has an awesome blog with two great tests to highlight what areas, hazards are in your home.
